[The Notes 1] Prologue: Good Kid ~ Summary

October 10 Year 9
It is about SeokJin, who helped a friend escaped from the bad guys who were chasing him from school. His friend told him while crying that those bad guys were yelling and ringing the doorbell last night. His dad has not yet come home for a week now and his mom was just crying. The bad guys were trying to kidnap him to get money from his dad.
SeokJin secretly brought his friend to their house but to their surprise, Seokjin's dad found out that his friend (Mr. Choi's son) was there with him. His dad asked his friend to go out because someone is waiting for him outside. The man outside was one of the men who were chasing them earlier. He asked his dad to help his friend but he did not budge, wearing an exhausted look. The man came in to his room then suddenly grabbed his friend's shoulders then tried to pull it outside the room while SeokJin grabbed his friend's arm. He pulled his friend's arm but his dad grabbed his shoulders then pulled it hard. Sadly, he had to let go of his friend's hand. The man dragged his friend out of the door. Before Seokjin could break free, his dad strengthened the grip to his arm until it hurt.
"Be a good kid, Seokjin", his dad told him, his exhausted look now gone. He heard his friend's cry, saying his name, "Seokjin". His friend escaped from the man's grip and aimed for the door which his dad shut off before his friend could come in. In return, Seokjin replied. "Sorry Dad, I won't get into trouble again."
The next day, his friend's seat was empty in class.
